The first Wall Plates I made were exercises to learn how to use my fathers CNC machine. Not wanting to start with good wood I used some stickers I found beside the road. Stickers are pieces of wood, in this case, they put between water pipes during transport. after unloading they just tossed them in the woods. The background image here is one of them. They are spalted poplar. the greens are commonly found in poplar. It made such a beautiful wall plate that I went back to find more. I made blanks with it and can cut whatever type of plate you would like. they are limited to single gang because of the dimensions of the wood. Other species are available in 1, 2, and 3 gang any combination of holes you need. Teak, Walnut, Oak, Maple and Cherry are some of the species we have on hand.
